Hannah and Jillian are proud to present their duo, y3, in concert at the Sherborn Inn. The concert, entitled “Folklore and Fantasy”, was designed out of their love for shorter piano and cello works, and brings together a selection of pieces that are influenced by the folksongs and fairy-tale stories passed down through history. The program covers a range of locales, focusing mainly on Eastern and Western European cultures. The program includes works by: Bartok, Schumann, Janáček , Vaughan-Williams, Piazzolla, and Dvořák.
One of the goals of y3 is to create unique programs and to perform in less conventional settings in order to be accessible to a wider and more varied audience. They hope to inspire people who may not typically listen to classical music. They want to create a more casual enjoyable listening experience and provide a fresh take on the classical concert. They hope to see you there!
